With so much information on the Web, how do you stay organized online?

I have lots of files under bookmark of course. All media is in one file, my favorite history subject that I stay in touch with is under one file, and so one and so forth. I also have tabs open for me to fool around with. When it comes to my online crap, I stay organized very well.

Well, I just find the nerves to talk about this now, considering it happened on Monday.

It was something that I had expected, being she was seven years old and basically a senior. She had been diagnosed with cancer two years ago and we were told to expect it to affect her within a few days or weeks. Not two years later.
Last Saturday, when I made a move to come downstairs, since I had been stuck in bed with the cold/flu, and noticed she was breathing heavier then she should have been. Considering my condition, I didn't touch her, but kept my eyes on her. By Monday, I was feeling well enough to bunk downstairs and spend some quality time with her. She was acting not like herself, couldn't hold her head up much, and just looked like she was going at her own pace.

Fifteen minutes before seven at night, she jumped off of the couch and ran straight into the computer chair, where my brother caught her. Picking her up, she didn't seem to realize where she was and tried to get out of my grasp. Something she never did when I held her. At seven o'clock, she passed away with squeaks I assumed as pain and continued to fight like crazy to her last breath. Yeah, she didn't pass away quietly and that just breaks my heart.

It's now Thursday and I'm still down and crying every now and then. I have yet to clean and pack away her cage to be used later, but when I feel up to it, I'll take care of it. Oreo will be laid to rest on Saturday, when we are all home. For now though, she's wrapped in a towel and laying in a box in the freezer.

The icon I have used it Oreo, black and white, and her sister, Phantom, who passed away two years ago at five. Both were as thick as thieves.

I'm ready for my close up! Is this my good side?

Burrowing in her bedding and making her own tunnels.

The last photo taken: The slaughter of the watermelon! Oh no!

It's gotten to the point I'm able to laugh at the photos I have of her instead of avoiding. That's an improvement, right?

What the fuck?
While we were out getting a few needed things from the store, I saw the TV guide with SVU's Marishka and Chris on the front. I figured why not to take a peek and see what was going on.

Much to my own humor and happiness, they had a few developments for everyone else!

A past romance is coming back to John and it will give him a big impact on him. I wonder what this means? For those that do fics about him (like me), I'm sure in hell not going to stop. There's a reason why they call it "alternate universe".  And they are saying that he's going to show up more then before. Let's hope that this is true!

Fin is going to have a love interest in all this and be involved and to have an altercation over some kind of hate speech with a guest star.

Huang, who is also due to have more show time, comes out as gay. This doesn't surprise me because B.D. Wong is gay and I always figured that Huang was gay as well.

And much to my own fun, I picked up rocket pops from the store and now wondering what they would taste like when dipped in beer. LOL

If you broke a mirror, would you worry about bad luck even if you're not superstitious? Would you walk under a ladder or cross a black cat's path on a dare? Is there anything you're superstitious about?

View 968 Answers

Considering I have broken mirrors, have a black cat cross my path multiple times during the day, walked under a ladder, knocked over a salt shaker and stepped on cracks on the sidewalk, no bad luck has fallen on me - unless you're talking about a day plaqued with vet visits for the dog (that's a totally different story. Get to that later).

I'm not superstitious, just paranoid of certain things, but jinxes are not one of them.
Hey there!
Eartha and Kronk had another clutch of babies some weeks back and now all four of them are out of the nest. Three of them are the basic gray coloration, except for one who has a white feather and white dot, but the fourth one is unusual...she/he is very light to the point it looks blond.
I have dubbed this one "Blondie", right along with it's siblings of "Dot" or "Smudge", "Twitch" and "Lovelace". All four are unusual, unless Lovelace looses the baby feathers on top of it's head, then telling it apart from Twitch is going to be hard. LOL

So, anyway, Blondie is an unusual hatchling that I have not seen before. I had thought it's maturing feathers had not come it and it was light because of it's baby feathers. Oh, I seem to be so wrong! Googling this is only giving me adult finches with color mutations, so I guess we're going to have to wait until it's older. I swear this one has to be a girl. I'm hoping that this one is a girl! Or Smudge could be a girl. Or Twitch or Lovelace....either way, we've been having a wild streak of males here.
Right now, she's asleep and swinging back and forth on the hay/grass holder that I had put in. It's funny watching her very light feet trying to keep her balance. Another thing, her feet are very, very light in color while all the others have dark feet and legs. Very unusual indeed.
Lucky me, I have the camera and some pics of what she looks like and going to compare her to Smudge. Mum's really better that Blondie is indeed a female.
And the name Blondie isn't going to stick, unlike the name Bugger. LOL

The one in question:

Yes, she just sat on my hand. Unlike her siblings and parents, she doesn't know better yet

And for comparison, Smudge is showing of it's unusual spot and white feather for kicks.

Unusual, yes?

Now, this is more like it!

After close to a week of force feeding, teeth clipping and constant weight watching, Snowfire has his Budda belly back. Not to mention, he's back to his horny houdini ways of trying to break out of his cage and stalking the females....yep! That's him.

And since he is now better, weight wise, I began to manhandle him and feel what the vet had felt of him missing a testicle. Yeah, that's very true since one is there, but one is missing.

I must attract the special animals at this rate. That will make number 7 of pets with certain issues/missing organs/medical wonders.

:sighs:

It just gets weirder and weirder.

What the fuck?
Weekend wasn't so bad, except when I noticed that Snowfire, my year old boar, wasn't himself. Wasn't eating, fur didn't look normal, rarely drinking, and drooling.

....drooling? Yeah, my mind tilted 90 degrees when I noticed that. Soooo, googling I went and found something that said back molars could overgrown, cause the mouth to not close, unable to eat and drool. All right then. To the vet we went on Tuesday, they stoned him a little so they could see in his mouth and clipped his front teeth. One of his bottom teeth had a crack in it and the vet thought that it would help him a little with eating. Over the weekend, I had force fed him baby food mixed with his food to get something into him and keep him going. He held onto my syringe like no tomorrow and I don't blame him.

Not only did she clip his teeth, but she also did a little examing of him while he was in Lala land. Let's just say that Snow just pulled a Belzer...he's missing one testicle. Or, it's there, but really, REALLY small to the point you don't think he has one. O_0 I...really haven't noticed that before and I'm one who has no problem poking around the family jewels when need be.

You'd think that's all, but wait! There's more! He has an unknown mass of possible fur? hanging in his tummy. So, Dr. Kathy said to give him 3 CCs of mineral oil orally to see if that would get it going. I swear, I thought he was going to blow, but nothing yet. Kathy said she would be taking Snow's file with her to Wuasau, as she was going to a meeting about small pets/pocket pets and Snow's case is interesting. It sure is! :winks and gives thumbs up:  Oh, Lordy.

She called back today and says the main talker at the meeting wants to see Snowfire as he needs more work on his teeth and possible big check over his tummy and what his missing testicle means. Either it's normal or something is happening that caused it to disappear. :jazz hands: I'm really hoping that it's not too late to help him as we really need to get an appointment for him in Wuasau, with the small pets vet. She's, like, craving to check him out.

Right now, I have baby food pears mixed with pellets and a food covered, unhappy boar on my lap. Moments ago, I had video taped him with some lettuce so we can show the vet what he does with food. All he's doing is gumming it, moving it around and trying ever so hard to eat it. Makes me sad seeing him like that.

Considering his brother's name is Ice, I might as well call Snowfire Belzer since he's missing a family jewel...sorry Belz.

Sure, we have the weird pets, I'm not ashamed to say that! I have a 7 year old guinea pig that expelled her uterus, two finches that are very aggressive with each other, and a rabbit who's smarter then she seems.

When you get sick or have a cold, what's your favorite remedy to make you feel better?

View 1666 Answers

Well, depends how I'm feeling or what it is that's making me ill. I mostly turn to our hidden stash of tea bags and indulge on what I can. And I sleep...a lot. Was home ill three weeks ago from work and wondered upstairs with my tea and snugged in with my blanket. Slept the rest of the day, I did.

If it's my allergies that are acting up, I usually take extra long warm showers to clear me out and make me feel better all around.

And where are her clothes?

Yes, my title started like that. So sue me.

It's finally gotten to the point I can't stand sitting here and doing nothing. We have these neighbors right across the street from us and they have this small 14-16 month old baby girl.

Been watching these people for 4 months now, since they have moved in, due to the fact of this small child. Why? She runs close to the road, is always in a diaper (even in chilly weather) and no one seems to watch her or the other child who belongs to someone else. It's mind boggling and it's gotten to the point that we did indeed call the cops.

Now, we live on this fairly busy road and it's me sick to my own stomach watching her run so close to the road and no one reacts until she is a foot from it. Not to mention, they seem to "trust" this little girl to follow them when she is 14 feet behind them and they just walk away from her.

Richard, who is also nervous about this kind of stuff, shook his head and said "That baby can turn right around and head for the road. No one would be able to stop her in time, you know."

Today, it's a little chilly out and we saw the mother of this child wearing a sweatshirt and jeans. The child is dressed in nothing but her little diaper! If the weather is too damn cold for you to wear a t shirt, what do you think that weather is going to feel like to that baby? ::band head against wall:: nothing more raises my blood pressure then seeing that right now. So, cops have been called and someone will be stopping by do see if everything is all right and hopefully get a decent answer to why there are no fucking clothes on that child!  >:(

Nothing more pisses me off then wife beaters, child neglecters, animal abusers and neglect of the elderly. Just makes my blood boil. Not even facebook can help me.

Least that's how I'm seeing it. LOL

My dying baby has been handed over to a computer guru who had done wonders for a friend and we shall see what he does by Wednesday. Six times had I tried to kick it's hardware ass before giving up and handing it over.

Good news - had a good reputation to bring computers back from the light.

Bad news - he's going to wipe out everything I had in it

Good news - I handed over the external harddrive and he'll see if he can download my files into it.

Course, mum thinks that it's just pictures and what not that I can easily find on-line. so not true. I do more things on that then just the said subjects...but we'll see.

What was your first job?

It was under the table work for a friend of ours when we lived in Penn. She was into selling home decor stuff that you would either let gather dust/forget about/sell at next yard sale.

I was more doing paperwork and the occasional packing of packages. No big work, I was by myself and didn't have to worry about having the radio up to loud when I was over my head with boxes and items that made me wonder what crack head came up with them.

What do you wear to feel confident?

Since I do have low confidence in myself, I usually wear a loose and comfortable jeans, my long sleeve shirt with a light colored t-shirt on top of it, my watch and senior class ring to help me. Seems odd, yes, but they do help.

And taking deep breaths really helps.

My feet are killing me, shoulders are overworked, arms are screaming at me, and not complaining once. But this picture brought a smile to my face.

Disappointing news today

Two days ago, I noticed Bugger only using one foot while sitting on his perch and holding up the other foot like he couldn't use it. This morning, mum and I are suspecting he broke or sprained it in a way he doesn't want to use it. I've been doing reading on broken legs/feet and they are all saying that, depending on the lifespan of the finch, the bone will heal on it's own and he'll become a special needs finch. Bugger is only 3-ish months old now and since he is in great health, he should bounce right back in a week or so with a some what healed bone. I managed to catch him yesterday and examined the leg to see if there was anything I could see wrong with my two eyes. It looked normal, he wasn't screaming in pain, but he wasn't flexing his foot when I poked it. I'm holding high hopes that it's going to heal since he's so young and since he's going to be a special needs bird, that's fine by us. One cat and two guinea pigs are special needs animals and we move on while caring for them. I'm the main caretaker of the piggies and deal with Oreo's cancer and Flame's health issues with great care that they don't even realize what I've done until it's done. I'm planing on fixing up Bug's cage so he can have easy access to food/water/shelter while he heals. As the Quote said at the top of the website "A crippled finch can still lead a good life."

This just makes Bugger more special.

To my first drink...

Excellent!
I have thus celebrated my 21st birthday with just my folks and brother. Dad showed me the drinks that are much lighter then what my mother was trying to show me (her side of the family are BIG drinkers) and I went for the fruit flavored coolers and actually enjoying my first one. It has a wild berry flavor to it and still doing fine. Dad had said that, depending on my tolerance level for my first, I may or may not feel different, but we shall see! So for now, happy first drink!

Talk about a real pain in the neck...

  • May. 22nd, 2009 at 8:32 PM
Insert sarcasm
Alrighty, where to start---
Okay, I start with this; Monday morning, I got up and was unable to turn my head to the right. I did everything possible for that day - from ice packs, warming ointments, having mum apply pressure to the painful area, etc. until I couldn't take it anymore. Tuesday afternoon, when mum went to the Chiropractor, I decided to have an appointment made for (while making my usual comments of "just take five minutes to break my neck and take me out of misery...") and went in for Wednesday afternoon. X-rays were taken, medical history and I was plopped onto the coolest little table/bed invented since ice packs. Doc had fun cracking my back and my neck (I was so relaxed, I didn't need to wiggle my toes to distract me) and then we moved to my X-rays. She has now stated I have "a goofy bone structure". Yay....great....what?
My neck bones are curving to one side and she says that it could be muscle spasms and part of the cause of why I can't move my neck one direction and it also be a part of scoliosis. There is also and unwanted gap between the spinal columns in my neck that could be from two accidents I was in when I was younger (car accident and was knocked off by a clydesdale horse and landed on a root. Signs of old whiplash?) or just how I am and it's part of my uniqueness.

Now, to add to the goofyness, Bugger, the young Zebra Finch hatched to Eartha and Kronk, is showing signs that it could really be a boy. It sounds like it's trying to do the song that only males can do. Oh, goody...I found myself sitting my brother and I's bathroom with, Kuzco flying around and stretching his wings, wondering what to do. I don't like getting birds from petstores since, with my experience, carry illnesses that are spreadable to other birds. I don't need that to happen with Kuzco. He may be small, but I like the little brat and his pitiful calls for a lady friend. Could have Kronk and Eartha try again, but we don't need a million birds again and the next clutch may not have a female. I'd like for Kuzco to have company and not be alone in the segragation cage, but we gotta see if it's really true that Bugger is a male. Who knows.
